Description
Sígsig is a town located in the Azuay province, 90 minutes East from the city of Cuenca, Ecuador. Sigsig sits in a valley surrounded by steep mountains. This town has incredible views. It is famous for its traditional handicrafts, as well as its handmade toquilla hats (Panama hats).
Sigsig's main attraction is the central plaza that features the Zanqueros monument. The monument represents warriors waking on sticks. Another tourist attractions are the Chobshi Cave and the Zhingate "beach" (lake with sand).
This digitally altered artwork is derived from my photograph taken Apr 20/15 in Sigsig, Ecuador, South America nestled in the Andes Mountains.
Final processing done with Smart Photo Editor and Photoshop.
