Description
The Inca Royal Road, commonly called the Inca Trail, once linked Cuzco, the Inca capital, with Tomebamba (where Cuenca now stands) and Quito.
In the city of Cuenca it travels right up the picturesque Avenida Loja which seems to point directly at the Immaculate Conception cathedral, the focal point of the city. There are many ruins of the Inca empire to be seen in this region.
This digitally altered artwork is derived from a photograph taken Jan 10/16 in Cuenca, Ecuador, South America nestled in the Andes Mountains.
