This photo is dedicated to the amazing Cindy Treger whose incredible photos of birds on FAA have caused me to change cameras in the pursuit of better shots of my buddy Tom Thumb.
Because I have such a backlog of photos for upload, you normally wouldn't see this for about a year, seriously... but I needed to thank Cindy for her inspirational work and for sharing her camera details with me.

I spend hours watching and waiting for these fascinating creatures, no fatter than my thumb, to fly up and entertain me. I have 4 feeders in the back yard and approximately 4 hummers commonly vying for them. There are 2 varieties that come here so far, the Rufous-Tailed Hummingbird and the Tyrian Metaltail. I still call them all Tom Thumb.
