This is one of our 11 dogs that we call NeNe and Peluche. All our dogs are rescues and NeNe was a street dog that had just been hit by two motorcycles in Tulua, was immobile, and not expected to survive. My wife and a vet trainee physiotherapist worked to save his life. I will never forget the look that this little fighter gave me saying "Don't give up on me please!" I told my wife at that moment that we would definitely keep this tough little guy if he survived. He learned how to walk and run again, albeit crookedly, but he is a constant reminder of what perseverance can accomplish.
He is a quirky dog with the loudest bark and the first to know if someone is at our door. We love this little man!
