On this day I had organized a a photography trip to the area of Saraguro with several photographers to enjoy the Kapak Raymi solstice celebration of the indigenous locals. The disappointing thing about this trip is that we were not allowed to photograph the actual ceremony (which our guides did not inform us). Some of the photographers embarrassed us all by poorly trying to surrepetitiously take photos or videos anyway. I was so disgusted with the guides and those boorish photographers that I have never attempted another photography tour since then.
