Description
If you ever wondered where your Mother's Day roses were grown, there is a better than even chance that they came from Ecuador, and possibly from Trebol roses. We had a tour of their incredible facility where we were treated like royalty by Rosana Malo and her family.
The roses grown here are on stalks at least 5' long and are much shorter by the time you see them at your florist.

The many different colours are mind-boggling. These roses seem to last forever when purchased in Ecuador and a dozen roses might cost $3 USD.
This digitally altered artwork is derived from my photograph taken Apr 24/14 near Cuenca, Ecuador, South America nestled in the Andes Mountains.
Final processing done with Smart Photo Editor and Photoshop.
