Description
I have been fortunate enough to witness this family competition twice, and there are few things in this world funnier than this. There is a long pole, heavily greased, with prizes hanging about 12 feet off the ground. Since the pole is so slippery, you cannot hold and climb, you simply can't! So families band together and form a straight, "pyramid" with a very strong person at the bottom to hold the weight of everyone who climbs above, one after the other, until they can reach the prizes. Very few are fortunate to reach the prizes. Teamwork is the key.
This digitally altered artwork is derived from my photograph taken Nov 2/14 in Cuenca, Ecuador, South America nestled in the Andes Mountains.
Final processing done with Smart Photo Editor and Photoshop.
