Description
The Tarqui Zoological Preserve rescues damaged or orphaned birds, mostly raptors, heals them and teaches them to fly, eat, and hunt again. It is incredible to watch the interaction between the handlers and these magnificent birds. Once rehabilitated, they are tearfully released back into the wild.
This digitally altered artwork is derived from my photograph taken April 6/18 in Tarqui, near Cuenca, Ecuador, South America nestled in the Andes Mountains.
Final processing done with Smart Photo Editor and Photoshop.

I love this capture! I've watched raptors all of my life but rarely see them close up. They are amazing in the air! l/f
