We took a little tour to Montanita on the coast of Ecuador and part of the package was a whale-watching tour. This huge humpback was in an extremely good mood and was enjoying the attention while he performed for us continuously for a good hour. He would do some barrel rolls on the surface then drop down for few moments before surfacing in a huge breach. At least once he came up within 20 feet of us…
