Description
We found this statue to a glorious Caesar near the Monument to King Vittorio Emanuele II, in Rome, Italy.
We thought it was Julius Caesar (c. July 12 or 13, 100 BC to March 15, 44 BC) but another artist pointed out that it is likely Augustus Caesar, and it appears that he is right, judging from the similarities in the statues on Wikipedia – See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Augustus
This digitally altered artwork is derived from a photograph taken March 7, 2009 during a tour of Western Europe.

👍 AL 👍 your Great Art-Photo depicts perfectly the power of Augustus, who was perhaps the greatest of all the Roman Emperors as he created and presided over his era of 'Pax Romana' ! -

I had this artwork originally named "Caesar Ruled The World". A sharp-eyed artist named Hartmut pointed out that this is actually a statue of Augustus Caesar. Thank you Hartmut.
