Description
We took a small fun tour into the Amazon jungle and one of the stops was at a rocky labyrinth site near Macas, Ecuador. The guide went into a cave and came out with this specimen, a Pale spear-nosed bat (Phyllostomus discolor). This bat had a huge wingspan and must be one of the reasons the flying bug problem was at a minimum.
This digitally altered artwork is derived from my photograph taken June 1/16 near Macas, Ecuador, South America nestled in the Amazon jungle.

Nicely composed and stunning colors but still a pretty scary shot! But maybe that's just me, cause I scare easy! 😉
