The indigenous people of Ecuador are the amazing farmers of this region and the women are the true workhorses, often seen carrying amazing loads strapped to their backs, usually with a strong shawl.
This digitally altered artwork is derived from a photograph taken Jan 22/16 south of Cuenca, Ecuador, South America nestled in the Andes Mountains.
